Environmental Officer – Grosvenor Mine

The Environment Officer supports all aspects of the environment function for the operation, while providing timely guidance and service to operational personnel to ensure delivery of the mine’s performance targets and compliance to corporate and legislative requirements. Your responsibilities will include the development and implementation of procedures, management plans and systems to improve environmental performance and participating in the monitoring, analysis and reporting on programs for land, vegetation, cultural heritage, water and waste. Experience with contractor management will be beneficial to your application.

Tertiary qualifications in an environmental discipline are required with knowledge of environmental issues relevant to the coal mining industry highly regarded. Experience in understanding, interpreting and analysing relevant environmental data is key to the role. Familiarity with Environmental Risk Management and Controls and Environmental Management Systems will also be an advantage.

This role will be on a Monday to Friday roster, residential in Moranbah.
